What is the Gospel?

I’m not really sure how to answer this questions its a big one. I guess I think that when they use it at church they are talking about the teachings of Jesus. But I’m not sure if that is the meaning I want to go with, I feel like there are many other meanings. I feel like it should just be able to mean many different things to different people, just like how we interpret the bible and most things in our lives different than others. I decided to look at all the different definitions there were for Gospel, such as (the teaching or revelation of Christ, a thing that is absolutely true, a set of principles or beliefs, the record of Jesus’ life and teaching in the first four books of the New Testament., a fervent style of black American evangelical religious singing, developed from spirituals sung in Southern Baptist and Pentecostal churches.) I’m not sure which one the true meaning is or what it was intended to be by God but I think maybe for me I would say that its a combination of the teachings of Jesus and a set of principles or beliefs. I also think that it should just be all the meanings combined but that’s in a perfect world and I know a lot of people would disagree with me especially people that focus on the little details of the bible and not the big picture.
