At the beginning of the semester, I was mostly just confused with what the New Testament was, mostly I just went with what I was taught in church growing up and never really formed my own opinions. This class although I have gotten even more confused a little bit has helped me to form my own opinions and really question things and think about what the right questions to ask are. It has also taught me to not focus on the little details but on what the message is. I guess to me, The New Testament is what I said at the beginning of the semester “the fulfillment of Gods Promise to send his son to die on the cross and save us from our sins. I feel as though the New Testament is a continuation of the Old Testament but is also so much more. It a way to see through Jesus, how to live a holy Christian life. Jesus’ life and the way he treated others teaches us how we should treat and love everyone around us.” But it is also so much more. I want to keep working on this question and forming more opinions before I really make a decision on what I think the New Testament is.
